Multiple flood warnings remain in effect across Iowa through September 26 due to heavy rainfall. The English River at Kalona (Johnson and Washington Counties) is experiencing moderate flooding with water overflowing county roads including 13th St and Kiwi Ave until Wednesday afternoon. The Iowa River system is severely impacted, with the Wapsipinicon River near De Witt (Clinton and Scott Counties) experiencing major flooding affecting residences until further notice. Minor to moderate flooding also continues on the Cedar River near Conesville, Iowa River at Wapello and Oakville, Mississippi River at Burlington and Gladstone, and the North Skunk River near Sigourney (Keokuk County). Residents in affected areas should avoid flooded roads, expect agricultural land inundation, and prepare for potential evacuation if necessary. River crests are expected Wednesday through Thursday morning, with conditions improving by Friday.
