Streamflow discharge was last observed at 32 cfs, and a gauge height of 2.14 feet.
With the
% decrease since yesterday,
the streamflow average over the past 10 days is 67 .
Weather today, Tomorrow,
The primary constituents of the stream flow are precipitation and runoff from surrounding agricultural land. There are no significant dams or tributaries in the immediate vicinity of the gauge. The flow of the creek is highly variable, with seasonal trends causing significant fluctuations in flow rates. During the wet season (March to June) flow rates can exceed 700 cubic feet per second (cfs), while during the dry season (July to February) flows can drop below 10 cfs. Interestingly, the Medicine Creek is named after the Native American medicine men who would gather medicinal herbs along its banks.
