Briar Creek Lake, also known as Briar Creek Lake Pa-497, is a state-owned recreational lake located in Columbia, Pennsylvania. Managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, this earth dam was completed in 1968 and serves multiple purposes, including flood risk reduction and recreation. With a maximum storage capacity of 1,880 acre-feet and a normal storage of 360 acre-feet, the lake covers a surface area of 51 acres and has a drainage area of 5.11 square miles.

The dam stands at a height of 39 feet and stretches 1,650 feet in length, holding back the waters of the East Branch Briar Creek. Despite being classified as having a high hazard potential, the dam's condition assessment is rated as fair. Regular inspections are conducted, with the most recent one taking place in August 2020. While there are no associated structures or locks, the lake provides a serene recreational space for visitors to enjoy boating, fishing, and other outdoor activities in Briar Creek Township.
