Frd No 16, also known as City of Atchison Dam 16, is a local government-owned structure located in Atchison, Kansas. Built in 1964 by the USDA NRCS, this earth dam stands at a height of 35.2 feet and serves primarily for flood risk reduction on the White Clay Creek-TR river. With a maximum storage capacity of 135 acre-feet and a normal storage of 23 acre-feet, Frd No 16 covers a surface area of 4.2 acres and has a drainage area of 0.1 square miles.

Despite its satisfactory condition assessment, Frd No 16 poses a high hazard potential, requiring regular inspections every three years to ensure its safety and functionality.
