Schrickram is a privately owned earth dam located in Kay, Oklahoma, near East Lake Ponca. Built in 1940 for recreational purposes, this dam stands at a height of 30 feet and has a hydraulic height of 28 feet. With a storage capacity of 360 acre-feet and a normal storage of 270 acre-feet, Schrickram covers a surface area of 10 acres and is regulated by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board.
Despite being classified as having a low hazard potential, Schrickram is considered to have a very high risk due to its location and design. The dam features a controlled spillway, one valve outlet gate, and has not been rated for its condition assessment.
