Lake Palestine is a fresh-water lake located in Frankston, Texas. The lake was created in 1962 by the construction of a dam on the Neches River. The lake's hydrology is mainly supplied by two streams, the Kickapoo Creek and the Villages Creek. The lake's water level is maintained by the Upper Neches River Authority. The surface flow providers for the lake are the Neches and Trinity rivers, which are the primary suppliers for the Upper Neches River Basin. The lake's snowpack providers are the occasional winter storms that bring snow to the area. Lake Palestine is a popular destination for recreational activities such as boating, fishing, and swimming. Agriculture is not a significant use of the lake.
