The primary source agency for Frosh (Nid) is the USDA FS, with the Forest Service also responsible for funding, designing, constructing, regulating, inspecting, and operating the dam.

Despite its low hazard potential, Frosh (Nid) has a moderate risk assessment rating of 3, indicating a level of risk management measures in place. The last inspection of the dam took place in July 2011, with an inspection frequency of 10 years. The dam has an uncontrolled spillway type and is associated with the Dry Draw river/stream.
