Back River

The Back River, located in Maryland, is a 38-mile long river that flows into the Chesapeake Bay. Historically, the river served as a major transportation route for goods such as lumber, fish, and tobacco. Today, it is an important source of drinking water for Baltimore City and surrounding areas. The river's hydrology is impacted by several reservoirs and dams, including the Loch Raven Reservoir and the Prettyboy Reservoir.
