Granite Peak
Granite Peak ski resort in Wisconsin offers a variety of trails for all levels of skiers, but experts will enjoy the 68 black diamond runs. Interestingly, Granite Peak was originally a man-made skiing hill created in the 1930s by the city of Wausau during the Great Depression. For beginners, the resort offers a great learning center with private and group lessons available. After a long day on the slopes, head to the Sundance Chalet for some après ski drinks and live music.
