Hanawa Ski Resort is located in the Hanawa region of Aomori Prefecture in Japan. The resort is situated at the base of Mount Iwaki, a prominent volcanic mountain in the region.

The resort offers skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Mount Iwaki, which has an elevation of 1,624 meters (5,328 feet). The mountain features a variety of terrain for all skill levels, including beginner-friendly slopes and more challenging runs for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

In addition to Mount Iwaki, Hanawa Ski Resort is also surrounded by other mountain ranges in the Hanawa region, such as the Hakkoda Mountains and the Shirakami Mountains.
