Turoa Ski Resort is located in the Tongariro National Park in the Manawatu-Wanganui region of New Zealand. The resort is situated on the slopes of Mount Ruapehu, an active stratovolcano and the highest mountain in the North Island. Turoa Ski Resort offers skiing and snowboarding on the southern slopes of Mount Ruapehu, with a vertical drop of 722 meters and a total skiable area of 500 hectares.
