Relative humidity values will drop into the mid to upper 20s for most of the area this afternoon. In addition, west to northwest winds between 10 to 15 mp with gusts up to 25 mph are expected. Wind gusts up to 30 mph are expected across the higher elevations of the east TN mountains. These conditions will lead to an increased danger of fire spread and growth from this afternoon through early evening. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether you may burn outdoors today.
