The campground itself has 35 campsites with amenities such as picnic tables, fire pits, and toilets. The campground operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and is open from May to October. The best time to visit is during the summer months, with average temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-80s. Other nearby points of interest include the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, the historic town of Alpine, and the Sunrise Ski Resort. Visitors can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and wildlife viewing in the area.
