Visitors can enjoy exploring the area's natural beauty and wildlife, as well as nearby attractions such as the Los Padres National Forest, Lake Casitas Recreation Area, and the beaches of Ventura and Santa Barbara.

The campground offers a range of amenities, including full RV hookups, tent sites, cabins, and cottages. There is also a swimming pool, hot tub, mini golf course, playground, and outdoor movie theater. Visitors can make reservations in advance, but walk-ins are also welcome on a first-come-first-serve basis.

The campground has 76 campsites in total, including 36 RV sites, 27 tent sites, and 13 cabins and cottages. An interesting fact about the area is that it was once the site of a popular 1950s western TV series called "The Big Bang" and visitors can still see remnants of the old set.

The best time of year to visit is between April and October, with temperatures averaging around 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and cooling off to the 50s at night. The fall months can be particularly beautiful with changing foliage and pleasant weather for hiking and outdoor activities.
