Reservations are recommended (required in peak season), and fees apply. Most sites have picnic tables, fire rings, and access to vault toilets and potable water. Some sites accommodate RVs, though there are no hookups. The lakeside setting offers wide-open views, granite outcrops, and high-alpine terrain at 8,600 feet—ideal for fishing, boating, and stargazing. Nearby trails include the Coyote Ridge and Black Bear trails. The best time to visit is late spring through early fall for mild weather and full access.
