Located in the Pike National Forest, the Lodgepole Jefferson Camping Area offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests. Nearby points of interest include the historic town of Jefferson, the Tarryall Reservoir, and the Lost Creek Wilderness Area. The campground amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, pit toilets, and potable water. The campground operates on a first-come-first-serve basis and has 24 campsites. The best time of year to visit is from late spring through early fall when temperatures range from the mid-60s to mid-70s during the day and drop to the mid-30s at night. Overall, the Lodgepole Jefferson Camping Area provides a serene and peaceful camping experience in a beautiful natural setting.
