Reservations are not required, but a free permit from the U.S. Forest Service may be needed. There are no fees. Amenities are minimal: no toilets, water, or RV hookups. Campers must pack in water and supplies. Fire rings are available, but no picnic tables. Set in a quiet, forested area, the site provides a remote, rustic camping experience ideal for solitude seekers. Nearby, the Florida Trail offers excellent hiking. Best visited in cooler months (October–April) to avoid heat and bugs. No vehicle access—hike-in only.
