Lobo Canyon Camping Area is situated in the heart of the Lincoln National Forest in New Mexico, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and canyons. The area is home to several hiking trails, including the popular Rim Trail, which provides panoramic views of the White Mountain Wilderness. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as the historic Fort Stanton and the Smokey Bear Ranger Station. The campground offers 14 campsites with picnic tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. Reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance. The best time to visit is from May to September, with average temperatures ranging from 60°F to 80°F during the day and dropping to 30°F to 50°F at night.
