Reservations are not required—sites are first-come, first-served—and a small nightly fee applies. The area provides a relaxed, lakeside atmosphere with open grassy spots and shade trees. Popular nearby attractions include Mount Scott, Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, and numerous hiking trails. The best time to visit is spring through fall for mild weather and active wildlife viewing. Dispersed camping is not permitted here.
