Fees vary by site and amenities; reservations are recommended via Recreation.gov. Campgrounds feature picnic tables, fire rings/grills, potable water, flush and pit toilets, and many offer RV access with electric and water hookups. The lakeside setting provides scenic views, wooded areas, and boating and fishing opportunities. Popular campgrounds include Taylor’s Ferry and Rocky Point. Trails, swimming areas, and historic Fort Gibson are nearby. Spring and fall offer mild weather and fewer crowds, making them the best times to visit. Dispersed camping is generally not permitted around the lake.
