The campground sits along the Clear Fork of the Brazos River amid open prairie—expect wide skies, historic ruins, and roaming longhorn cattle. The Fort Griffin campground is peaceful and scenic, ideal for stargazing. Trails connect to the historic fort and overlook bluff. Spring and fall offer the best weather. No dispersed camping is allowed on-site.
