Blanchard Island Mississippi River camping area in Illinois offers stunning views of the river and surrounding nature. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, and hiking in the nearby Meredosia National Wildlife Refuge. The campground features basic amenities such as a vault toilet and fire rings, and is first-come-first-serve with no reservations available. There are 10 primitive campsites available. The best time to visit is between May and October, with average temperatures ranging from 70-85 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and 50-65 degrees Fahrenheit at night.
