Summary

No hookups, but RVs up to 30 feet can access the area. Reservations aren’t required—first-come, first-served—with a small nightly fee. Nestled in a high alpine forest near the Encampment River, it’s peaceful and scenic, ideal for fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Popular nearby trails include the Encampment River Trail. Dispersed camping is allowed in the surrounding forest. Best visited from late June to early September when roads are clear and temperatures mild. Expect a quiet, rustic mountain experience.
