Lake Hogue is a 1,200-acre reservoir located in Northeast Arkansas, known for its excellent fishing for largemouth bass, crappie, bream, and catfish. The lake is surrounded by scenic wooded areas, making it a perfect spot for camping, hiking, and birdwatching. Anglers will find that the best time to visit is in the spring and fall when water temperatures are cooler, and fish are more active. The average temperature in the spring (March-May) is around 60°F to 80°F, and in the fall (September-November), it is around 50°F to 70°F. Fishing tips include using live bait or plastic worms for bass, and small jigs or minnows for crappie.
