Summary

This 260-acre lake offers good shore and boat access, including a concrete boat ramp (no wake). Best spots include the dam face, inlet area, and coves on the western shore. Anglers target rainbow trout, largemouth bass, walleye, bluegill, and channel catfish. Spring and fall are prime for trout using PowerBait, worms, or spinners. Bass and walleye bite well in warmer months on crankbaits, jigs, or soft plastics. The reservoir is open year-round, but ice fishing is not recommended due to unstable ice. No motorized watercraft allowed with a wake.

Angling Safety Guidelines

Know the Regulations
Check local fishing rules, seasons, size limits, and license requirements to ensure legal and sustainable angling.
Handle Fish Responsibly
Use wet hands, minimize air exposure, and release fish gently to improve survival rates when practicing catch-and-release.
Choose the Right Gear
Match your rod, line, and tackle to the species and conditions to increase success and reduce unnecessary harm to fish.
Respect the Waterway
Avoid disturbing habitat, prevent bank erosion, and keep a safe distance from spawning areas to protect ecosystems.
Keep It Clean
Pack out all line, hooks, bait containers, and trash—discarded gear can injure wildlife and degrade waterways.
