...SNOW FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF THE PANHANDLE THROUGH WEDNESDAY... Snow continues from Angoon northward as the main low moves closer to the panhandle bringing more moisture to the area. The snow is expected to last through the morning before starting to diminish around midday. Near Skagway, the snow is expected to linger there into Wednesday evening before diminishing. * WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 5 inches. * WHERE...City and Borough of Yakutat. * WHEN...Until noon AKST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall amounts could be higher if the heaviest snow band, which is currently projected to set up west of Yakutat, moves further east.
