The ideal streamflow range for Whitehorse Creek is between 200 and 500 cfs, which generally occurs in the early spring and late fall. The segment mileage of the river run is approximately 7 miles, with the rapids and obstacles varying throughout the section. Some of the notable rapids and obstacles include Whitehorse Falls, Tabletop, Chute, and the Narrows.
There are specific regulations to the area to ensure the safety of all participants. The Bureau of Land Management requires all river users to wear personal flotation devices (PFDs) at all times and recommends that all participants have prior experience and training in whitewater rafting or kayaking.
