The rapids on this stretch of the river include Big Drop, Little Drop, and The S-Turn, providing excitement for experienced rafters. However, caution is advised as there are numerous boulders and steep drops that require technical maneuvering.
The US Forest Service manages the area and requires a permit for commercial and private use. Additionally, all boaters must wear a US Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device, and motorized boats are not allowed on the river segment. As with all river runs, it is critical to check current water levels and weather conditions before embarking on the trip.
