* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois, including the following counties, Alexander, Gallatin, Hamilton, Johnson, Pulaski, Saline, Union, White and Williamson, southwest Indiana, including the following counties, Gibson, Pike, Posey, Vanderburgh and Warrick, and southeast Missouri, including the following counties, Butler, Ripley, Scott and Stoddard. * WHEN...From late tonight through late Saturday night. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches are forecast, with localized higher amounts up to 5 inches possible. Soils are already saturated across the region, so this rain could lead to significant flooding impacts through the weekend.
