* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. The heaviest snow falls from late afternoon Thursday through about 1 AM Friday. For the lower elevations, total snow accumulations of 7 to 11 inches. Higher amounts 10 to 16 inches in the Lander Foothills and 15 to 20 inches in Sinks Canyon. For the higher elevations, additional snow accumulations between 6 and 12 inches. Northeast wind gusting 20 to 30 mph near Red Canyon and Beaver Rim. * WHERE...Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range, Lander Foothills, Upper Wind River Basin, Wind River Basin, and Wind River Mountains East. * WHEN...Until 5 AM MST Friday. * IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially in the backcountry.
