Weather today, Tomorrow,
The creek is part of the Tualatin River Watershed, and several of its tributaries flow into it, including Dairy Creek and McKay Creek. There are no dams on Fanno Creek. The stream experiences seasonal trends, with higher flow rates in the winter and lower flow rates in the summer. Interestingly, the creek was historically a salmon-bearing waterway, but due to urbanization and human impact, salmon populations have declined. The Fanno Creek Watershed was also the site of a major flood in 1996, which caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure.
