Streamflow discharge was last observed at 70 cfs, and a gauge height of 2.77 feet.
With the
% decrease since yesterday,
the streamflow average over the past 10 days is 79 .
Weather today, Tomorrow,
The river is primarily fed by snowmelt and rainfall, with potential tributaries including the Quartzville Creek and Henline Creek. Seasonal trends show higher flows during the winter and spring months, and lower flows during the summer and fall. There are no major dams on the Little North Santiam River, but there are several small diversion structures used for irrigation purposes. Interestingly, the river is home to a unique species of freshwater mussel, the Oregon floater, which is only found in a few select streams in Oregon.
