THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 584 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN COLORADO THIS WATCH INCLUDES 9 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL COLORADO ELBERT LINCOLN IN NORTHEAST COLORADO ADAMS ARAPAHOE DOUGLAS LOGAN MORGAN WASHINGTON WELD THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AKRON, AURORA, CASTLE ROCK, CENTENNIAL, ELIZABETH, FORT MORGAN, GREELEY, KIOWA, LIMON, PARKER, STERLING, THORNTON, WESTMINSTER, AND WINDSOR.

Today, A chance of showers before 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3pm and 4pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 81. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
