Aragona Village in Fort Washington, Maryland, is a local government-owned earth dam designed by Loiederman Associates, Inc. Completed in 1991, this dam serves the primary purpose of flood risk reduction along the Broad Creek-Offstream. With a height of 21 feet and a length of 2000 feet, Aragona Village has a storage capacity of 55.6 acre-feet and a drainage area of 0.36 square miles. The dam is regulated by the Maryland Dam Safety agency, with regular inspections conducted to ensure its structural integrity.

Despite its fair condition assessment and high hazard potential, Aragona Village is considered to have moderate risk based on the risk assessment scale. While the dam features an uncontrolled spillway type, it also has needle outlet gates for water release. The emergency action plan (EAP) for the dam is prepared and last revised in December 2021, indicating the readiness of authorities to respond to any potential emergencies. Overall, Aragona Village serves as a vital infrastructure for flood risk mitigation in Prince George's County, Maryland, highlighting the importance of water resource management and climate resilience in the region.
