Bucklin is a privately owned irrigation dam located in Alcova, Wyoming, on Whiskey Creek offstream. Completed in 1991, this earth dam stands at 35 feet tall and stretches 250 feet in length, providing a storage capacity of 920 acre-feet for irrigation purposes. The dam has a spillway width of 8 feet and is equipped with one uncontrolled outlet gate. Despite its fair condition assessment and low hazard potential, Bucklin is subject to regular inspections, with the last one conducted in July 2021.

Managed by the Wyoming State Engineer's Office, Bucklin is regulated, permitted, inspected, and enforced by state agencies. The dam's risk assessment categorizes it as moderate, with a risk level of 3. While there have been no modifications or emergency action plans reported for Bucklin, its location and purpose make it a crucial infrastructure for water resource management in Carbon County, Wyoming. With its stone core and soil foundation, Bucklin serves as a vital component of the local irrigation system, supporting agricultural activities in the area.
