* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 8 and
12 inches possible on the northern end of the mountains.
Accumulations of 3 to 6 inches possible along Powder River Pass.
Winds could gust as high as 55 mph.
* WHERE...Bighorn Mountains Southeast and Bighorn Mountains West.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning through late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult over Powder River Pass and
Granite Pass.
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 10
and 15 inches possible, with locally higher amounts up to 20
inches over the western slopes of the Absarokas. Winds could gust
as high as 70 mph on the eastern slopes, especially toward the
Washakie Needles.
* WHERE...Absaroka Mountains and Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult.
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 10 to 15
inches over southern portions and far eastern portions; 3 to 6
inches in central portions and 1 to 4 inches in Lamar Valley and
Mammoth. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.
* WHERE...Yellowstone National Park.
* WHEN...From Saturday morning through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially in the backcountry.
* WHAT...West winds 35 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected.
* WHERE...East Platte County.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Saturday Night.
* IMPACTS...There will be a high risk for vehicle blow overs,
particularly along north to south oriented roadways.
* WHAT...West winds 30 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected.
Localized wind gusts up to 85 mph are possible in the wind prone
areas along Interstates 25 and 80.
* WHERE...North Laramie Range, South Laramie Range and Foothills
including the Interstate 80 Summit between Cheyenne and Laramie,
Bordeaux area along Interstate 25 between Chugwater and Wheatland,
Converse County Lower Elevations, Ferris/Seminoe/Shirley
Mountains, Shirley Basin, Central Carbon County, Upper North
Platte River Basin, Laramie Valley, and Central Laramie County.

* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could lead to reduced
visibility. The strong winds will lead to fire weather concerns
and control problems if fires do start. This will be a long
duration wind event lasting Saturday night. Occasional lulls or
breaks are possible through this period.
* WHAT...West winds 40 to 55 mph with gusts up to 85 mph expected.
* WHERE...North Snowy Range Foothills including Arlington and Elk
Mountain along Interstate 80.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Saturday Night.
* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could lead to reduced
visibility. The strong winds will lead to fire weather concerns
and control problems if fires do start. This will be a long
duration wind event lasting Saturday night. Occasional lulls or
breaks are possible through this period.

addition, areas of blowing snow could lead to reduced visibility,
even whiteout conditions, and slick roads.
* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.
* WHERE...In Nebraska, Banner County and Kimball County. In Wyoming,
East Laramie County and Goshen County.
* WHEN...Until 8 PM MDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers. In addition, areas of blowing dust
may reduce visibility at times.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strong winds will lead to fire weather
concerns and control problems if fires do start.
* WHAT...West winds 35 to 55 mph with gusts up to 80 mph possible.
* WHERE...Wind River Mountains East, especially on Highway 28 over
Red Canyon/South Pass.

* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts of 60 to 70 mph possible.
* WHERE...Green Mountains and Rattlesnake Range and Natrona County
Lower Elevations.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles traveling Highway 789 (near Muddy Gap and Jeffrey City)
or Highway 258 (south side of Casper).
* WHAT...West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph possible.
* WHERE...Lander Foothills, Upper Wind River Basin, and Wind River
Basin.
* WHEN...From Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 430, 431, 432, 433, 436, and 437.
* WIND...West winds 30 to 45 mph, with gusts up 70 mph.
* HUMIDITY...Between 15 and 22 percent.
* NIGHTTIME RECOVERIES...Between 30 to 45 percent. Some
locations near Interstate 25 may be as low as 20 percent early
Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
