Rodgers Dam, located in Mt. Sterling, Iowa, on the TR-FOX River, was completed in 1970 and is owned and regulated by a private entity. Designed by the USDA NRCS, this earth dam stands at a height of 30 feet and spans a length of 282 feet. With a primary purpose of fire protection, stock, or small fish pond, the dam provides a storage capacity of 45 acre-feet, with a normal storage of 28 acre-feet.
