North Pigeon Cr Watershed Site 13, located in Pottawattamie County, Iowa, is a key water resource managed by the local government for fire protection, stock, and small fish pond purposes. This earth dam, completed in 1978 by the USDA NRCS, stands at a height of 64 feet and spans 570 feet, providing a storage capacity of 29 acre-feet. With a drainage area of 0.08 square miles and a surface area of 1.3 acres, this dam plays a crucial role in flood risk reduction for the surrounding area along the TR-North Pigeon Creek.

Regulated by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, this dam has a low hazard potential and is currently in a not-rated condition assessment. Despite its moderate risk level, the dam has not been modified in recent years and does not have an Emergency Action Plan prepared. Nevertheless, the local government in Crescent continues to inspect and monitor this structure for any potential issues. Additionally, with Cindy Axne (D) as the representative for this district, there is a clear commitment to ensuring the safety and sustainability of North Pigeon Cr Watershed Site 13 for the community and the environment.
