Frd No I-2, also known as Fall River Watershed Dam 1 2, is a local government-owned earth dam located in Eureka, Kansas. Designed by USDA NRCS and completed in 1966, this structure stands at 40 feet in height and stretches 1600 feet in length. Its primary purpose is flood risk reduction for the Ivanpah Creek-TR watershed, with a storage capacity of 1358.47 acre-feet and a normal storage level of 72 acre-feet.

Managed by the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Frd No I-2 is regulated, permitted, inspected, and enforced at the state level to ensure its safety and functionality. With a low hazard potential and a moderate risk assessment rating, this dam provides essential flood protection while also supporting the surrounding ecosystem. Despite not having a current condition assessment, the structure continues to serve its purpose effectively and plays a crucial role in water resource management in Butler County, Kansas.

As part of the Kansas City District, this dam operates with uncontrolled spillways and no outlet gates, reflecting its simple yet reliable design for managing water flow during high-discharge events. With its strategic location and engineering specifications, Frd No I-2 stands as a testament to the importance of sustainable water infrastructure in mitigating flood risks and supporting climate resilience in the region.
