Frd No 4 is a local government-owned Earth dam located in Frankfort, Kansas, constructed in 2006 for flood risk reduction along Little Timber Creek. The dam stands at a height of 40.3 feet with a hydraulic height of 36.8 feet and a structural height of 45.6 feet, serving a drainage area of 4.87 square miles. With a normal storage capacity of 222 acre-feet and a maximum discharge of 4272 cubic feet per second, the dam plays a crucial role in managing water flow in the area.

Managed by the Kansas Department of Agriculture, Frd No 4 has a low hazard potential and is not currently rated for condition assessment. Despite its moderate risk level, the dam has not been inspected since July 2005, raising concerns about its current state. With no Emergency Action Plan in place and limited risk management measures identified, there is a need for increased monitoring and maintenance to ensure the dam's continued effectiveness in flood control.
