Fedex Field Pond No. 1, also known as Redskins Stadium Swm Pond, is a private earth dam located in Brightseat, Maryland. Constructed in 1997 by Greenhorne and O'Mara/Rand Postell, this dam serves the primary purpose of flood risk reduction along the Southwest Branch-TR river or stream. With a structural height of 35 feet and a hydraulic height of 23 feet, it has a storage capacity of 35 acre-feet and covers a surface area of 0.67 acres.
Despite its fair condition assessment and high hazard potential, Fedex Field Pond No. 1 remains regulated and inspected by the Maryland Dam Safety agency. The dam features an uncontrolled spillway with a width of 20 feet and a maximum discharge of 400 cubic feet per second.
