Summary

It was originally constructed in the 1830s to provide water for a nearby sawmill. The lake is fed by Pike Creek and several smaller streams, and its hydrology is managed by the Pike Lake Dam. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, and swimming, with several public access points and a beach area.
