Stagecoach Dam, also known as Stagecoach Lake, is a federal-owned structure located in Lancaster, Nebraska, managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. Completed in 1964, the dam serves primarily for flood risk reduction but also supports fish and wildlife ponds and recreational activities. With a hydraulic height of 46 feet and a structural height of 48 feet, the dam spans 2250 feet and has a storage capacity of 10,200 acre-feet.

The dam's spillway is uncontrolled and has a width of 430 feet, with a maximum discharge capacity of 17,565 cubic feet per second. Despite its high hazard potential, the dam has a moderate risk assessment rating and is equipped with an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) prepared by USACE. This EAP meets guidelines, includes inundation maps, and outlines risk management measures such as continuous monitoring, maintenance, and collaboration with local emergency managers for emergency preparedness and response.

USACE remains vigilant in addressing all types of flood risks associated with Stagecoach Dam, ensuring its structural integrity and the safety of downstream communities. By actively managing the dam's condition, prioritizing risk-reducing activities, and engaging with stakeholders, USACE works to mitigate potential hazards and maintain the dam's functionality.
