* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to two inches.
* WHERE...Portions of central, north central, panhandle, and west
central Nebraska.
* WHEN...From 6 AM CST /5 AM MST/ this morning to 6 AM CST /5 AM
MST/ Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the Friday morning and evening commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds are expected to remain light, generally
less than 20 mph, limiting the threat for blowing and drifting
snow.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and
8 inches.
* WHERE...Mitchell, Osborne, and Rooks Counties.
* WHEN...From noon today to 6 AM CST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Friday evening commute, but are are most likely
to impact travel Friday night through Saturday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Northeast winds will gust to around 20 MPH
Friday afternoon and evening, but will decrease to only around 10
MPH or less late Friday night through Saturday night. This should
keep blowing and drifting of snow to a relative minimum.

Temperatures will slowly warm this afternoon with winds diminishing.
* WHAT...For the Extreme Cold Warning, dangerously cold wind chills
as low as 33 below. For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind
chills as low as 26 below expected.
* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska.
* WHEN...For the Extreme Cold Warning, until noon CST Friday. For
the Cold Weather Advisory, from noon Friday to noon CST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 35 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected skin is
exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezing
temperatures could cause ruptured water pipes. Wind chill values
can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills Friday will stay below zero,
likely remaining in the negative teens for much of the day.
