Built in 1930 by the USFWS, this Earth-type dam serves as a Fish and Wildlife Pond along Spring Creek. With a height of 14 feet and a length of 520 feet, the dam has a storage capacity of 217.3 acre-feet and a normal storage of 50 acre-feet.
The dam has a low hazard potential and a moderate risk level, with a spillway width of 75 feet and an uncontrolled spillway type. It underwent structural modifications in 1992 and is equipped with one vertical lift outlet gate. While it is not currently rated for its condition, the dam is regulated, permitted, inspected, and enforced by the NDSWC in North Dakota.
