Managed and regulated by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB), Ug Butch has a controlled spillway and a low hazard potential, with a very high risk assessment rating. Despite not having a condition assessment rating, the dam is inspected every 5 years, with the last inspection conducted in September 2011. With one valve outlet gate and a surface area of 15 acres, Ug Butch plays a crucial role in flood control and water supply for the surrounding region.
