Lake Lenape, located in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, is a privately owned reservoir with a primary purpose of recreation. Constructed in 1901, this Earth dam stands at a height of 10 feet and stretches 183 feet in length. With a storage capacity of 525 acre-feet and a surface area of 70 acres, the lake provides ample opportunities for outdoor activities such as fishing, boating, and picnicking.

Managed by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, Lake Lenape is regulated, inspected, and enforced to ensure its safety and functionality. Despite its low hazard potential, the dam has not been rated for its condition assessment. The last inspection in August 2017 indicated that the dam meets regulatory standards, with an inspection frequency of once every 5 years. While there are no emergency action plans in place, the lake remains a popular destination for water resource and climate enthusiasts seeking a peaceful retreat in the Delaware Water Gap Borough.

Surrounded by the scenic beauty of Goose Pond Run and nestled within the Philadelphia District, Lake Lenape offers a tranquil escape for visitors to enjoy the natural splendor of the area. With its rich history dating back over a century, this recreational haven continues to attract outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike, making it a cherished gem in the heart of Pennsylvania's landscape.
