Harris No.2 is a privately owned dam located in Campbell, Wyoming, along the Bitter Draw river. Built in 2006 by designer James Willey, this earth dam serves multiple purposes including fire protection, stock watering, and small fish pond management. The dam stands at 28 feet tall with a hydraulic height of 14 feet, providing a storage capacity of 228 acre-feet and covering a surface area of 21 acres.

Despite its low hazard potential, Harris No.2 is currently in poor condition, as assessed in June 2021. The dam has a drainage area of 3.18 square miles and can discharge a maximum of 3356 cubic feet per second through its uncontrolled spillway. The dam is equipped with a single valve outlet gate and is regularly inspected every 5 years to ensure its structural integrity and safety.

While the risk assessment for Harris No.2 indicates a moderate level of risk, there are currently no risk management measures in place. With Liz Cheney representing the area in Congress, stakeholders and water resource enthusiasts are encouraged to monitor the condition of this dam and advocate for necessary repairs and improvements to mitigate potential risks and ensure the continued safety of the surrounding community and ecosystem.
