About the willow river


The Willow River is a 114-mile long river situated in western Wisconsin. The river was historically used for transportation, logging, and agriculture. It is also known for its hydroelectric power generation capability, and several dams and reservoirs have been constructed along its length to harness this energy. The main reservoirs on the river are the Little Falls Reservoir and the Willow River Flowage. The Little Falls Dam was built in 1911 and is located near the town of Willow River.
