Mt. Ontake, also known as Ontake-san, is a volcanic mountain located in the Chubu region of Japan. The mountain is part of the Kiso mountain range and is the second highest volcano in Japan after Mt. Fuji. Ciao-Ontake Ski Resort is located on the slopes of Mt. Ontake and offers a variety of skiing and snowboarding opportunities for visitors. The resort boasts stunning views of the surrounding mountain ranges and is known for its excellent powder snow conditions. The terrain at Ciao-Ontake Ski Resort ranges from beginner to advanced, making it suitable for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. Some of the prominent mountain aspects of Ciao-Ontake Ski Resort include its variety of runs, off-piste skiing options, and natural hot springs for apres-ski relaxation.

Ciao Ontake ski resort is located in the Nagano prefecture of Japan and is known for its scenic beauty and excellent ski trails. The resort has a total of 12 trails, each catering to different levels of skiers. The beginner's trail, 'Beginner A' is recommended for new skiers. Additionally, Ciao Ontake has an interesting history as it was originally built as a naval training facility during World War II. After the war, it was converted into a ski resort. For après-ski activities, The Lodge is a popular bar to unwind and enjoy drinks with friends.
